Hi TriciaA,,Hmmm lemme see if I can answer your question- There are not much beaches to bathe in once you pass Chaguaramas,,There's Williams Bay (or Indian Bay as it is affectionately called) near Pier 1 & the Base...Theres another beach at the Cove Hotel thats private and only accessed by guests who stay at the cove. the other bays are basically ports to for boats to go "down de islands" like small boats or power boats.
That'll take you to Gasparee Island, Chachacare Island, Monas Island, Scotland Bay. However if you are heading Northwards on the Tucker Valley Main Rd. just after Pier 1 you will get to a small bay which called Macqueripe Bay. There's a nice beach that is a bit rocky..I think this may be the beach you were referring to.
Hope this helps.

Macqueripe
or
Maracas Bay (which is on the northern part of the island)

I visited Trinidad while in the Coast Guard several years ago and loved the place. It strangely reminded me of Germany, where I went to high school.

it saddens me that it has succumbed largely to crime.
