Not so much anymore but I remember the feeling. I think it's called exhaustion.
The only person that demands my attention constantly is my best friend. She's not so bad now because I explained to her (in a polite way), that she was draining me. Driving me a little nuts.
She took it like a pro and is now more considerate.
I am SOOO glad. She used to wake me up even though I had only just 2 hours of sleep.
I love her and that's why I told her. I didn't want our friendship to get deep sixed.
It sounds to me like you too need to have a little chat with the people in your life.

i'm in demand to a small circle of people. theres only a few people that think i'm irreplaceable. thats good enough for me.i dont need to be in demand to large throngs of people to feel valued.

yeah I'm a guy and I'm in demand by 2 girls at school who i both date and I think its because I'm smart and on track,basketball, and football (I'm quarterback :)
