I've had mine since Christmas morning, i couldn't do anything that day... Today i just decided to take something for it, I hate taking anything for sicknesses that i know will heal eventually, but this one is a tough one... I feel better already, and all i did was took an advil this morning, and then ummm i guess it's about 13 or 14 hours later now, i just had a hot toddy, - Lamb's Rum, about one ounce, 8 ounces of water, some lemon juice (The real stuff) and some bee hive honey.
Took that stuff and i feel awesome, no more ear ache, chest problems, coughing, stuffy nose, not tired anymore, nothing.
Hope this helps, take care, Best wishes.

First and foremost you need rest.
Also take zinc, vitamin C, and garlic caplets - they help me get over being sick fairly fast.
As you rest until New Years get some comfort food and watch some TV or play video games. Hopefully you'll feel better by new years, if not have some sudafed and Advil and then party until you can't party anymore. THEN get some rest until you feel better.
Also, some herbal tea with lemon juice and honey will help your throat feel better.

Take cold and flu tablets, the ones with pseudephodrine in them. They clear your head and wake you up. Only take the recommended amount otherwise they will also keep you awake when trying to sleep too.

Bombard your body with zinc, and LOTS of it. It will speed the duration of your cold up, it's been medically proven. That's the main ingredient in Cold-Eeze lozenges for a reason.

Hey, don't feel bad. I had the flu over Christmas. I still have it, but it's starting to leave. Well, take tylenol or prilosec. Prilosec does the job real well.
