Creo que estaba equivocado respecto a ti. (Masculine)
Creo que estaba equivocada respecto a ti. (Feminine)

But you can also say this which have the same meaning:
Creo que te juzgué mal

Sorry I don't know but by the looks of it, you don't need this sentence for a happy ending. I hope whatever it is works out well. Or come to think of it (about 2 minutes after I wrote the answer lol), that it may be for something good in which case, I wish you the best of luck. Take care. ;)

The best way would probably be, "Creo que estaba equivocado (equivocada, if you're a girl) acerca de ti".

Equibocade is not a word. You may speak Spanish up there, but you certainly can't spell it. And "tuyo" means "yours", not "you."
