We had (on Noche Buena, or the night of Christmas Eve, we really do not celebrate Christmas day) tamales, champurado, buñuelos, ponche caliente and a ham.
Yes, I am Mexican, but we like the American style ham so we had that too.
What did you have, what did you celebrate, what is your heritage? I would really like to know. Thanks

O boy, where do I start? First off, let me tell you a little bit about Christmas for me this year. I worked 24 hours straight, went home got a few hours rest, came back Christmas day, worked another 16 hours and was finally off work by 4. So, I went to my parents house, and they had Ham, that sweet rasin gravy that you pour on it, Homeade Mac & Cheese, Green beans, Those candied yams UMMMM UMMMM UMMMM, stuffing, Rasin/carrot salad, stuffing, there was tons of stuff, and for desert, there was pecan and dutch apple pie. Thankfully, it was just the 3 of us. (dad, mom and myself) Had a great time. We didn't exchange presents this year, but thats ok, cause I didnt have the cash for it anyway. :)

I am primarily Irish heritage, grew up in the midwest. Family all too far away so had chile with cheese and crackers with friends at work Dec. 24th and fixed myself fried chicken, mashed potatoes with cream gravy and steamed veggies Dec. 25th. Fed my kitties salmon.
I'm not religiuos but do think Jesus was a cool guy so I give and receive gifts in the spirit of showing love to others to celebrate his accepted birthday.

We're Canadian and of Scottish descent. We celebrate a secular holiday. A time to be together as family and exchange gifts.

We had Turkey and stuffing, All manner of veggies. Fresh baked breads. Pumpkin Pie and Gingerbread cookies. It was the first time I'd ever hosted the family dinner (And the first time I'd ever cooked Turkey). No one got food poisoning and everyone went home happy, yay me!

Hanukkah is 8 days...we eat like normal except for the first Friday night of Hanukkah. We had a big pot luck at the synagogue and had traditional kosher food with lots of latkes and home made jelly donuts!
