Because it matters to them. There is nothing like being able to see immediately if someone is better, stronger, more powerful - naturally - than you are.
This is, of course, assuming that all men believe what the men I have known do and that that is your penis is what makes you a man and is the seat of your 'power'.

Why doesn't size matter to most women? Because it is harder for a woman to acheive orgasm with a penis blocking her uterus from 'dipping' into the vagina. The contractions a woman has which are her 'orgasm' are actually the cervix and uterus dropping into and out of the vaginal canal (look up the mechanics of a female orgasm for more details) If there is something in the way of that happening, it can actually prevent an orgasm.
The other reason, most women do not reach orgasm from vaginal stimulation. I hate to tell ya that guys, but it is true in most cases, not all.
So, does size matter? Not to many, many people. Is it how you use it? ABSOLUTELY, a bad lover is a bad lover no matter what they are packing.

Because guys have pride and ego problems. Size really doesn't matter. I've heard stories about guys who are huge and don't know how to use it. It's not about the size, it's about how you work it. It's not going to matter if it's big if you don't know how to use it.

wait , wait wait a minute here...."why do guys think size matters....?" thats until i just thought about it , is an issue thought about mostly by the opposite sex....which makes me think , why don,t more men think in terms of size when thinking about girls,,, a guy whos small isn,t going to get much feeling from a girl whos large , etc...and these things don,t stay the same anyways...look , as much as i thought this though, in the last 2 minutes, the best i can come up with is that the only sizes that matter is how well to people fit together, and how they themselves view, how they feel...or are you speaking of children, who don,t know enough about such things to be practicing in the first place....

Two reasons, I believe.

1. Size of a woman's boobs matters to some men (they may be immature, but that is not a crime), and these men assume it is a similar perception for women who are viewing them.

2. For some women, size DOES matter, (it is not a crime) either for physical or psychological reasons, they prefer large men.
