Please help me to understand. How can god hear millions of people's prayers and answer them all at the same time. Does anyone realize how crazy that sounds. I know someone will be like...oh god can do anything, but I wish those people would actually think about what they are saying. It's just like Santa Claus. When you were little you probably believed he could visit every single house in one night and know what every kid in the world wanted and put it in his little bag. Of course it made life seem a little more fun and magical, but if you would just use a little common sense you would realize it was ridiculous. People shouldn't believe in something just because it's comforting. Use your mind. PLEASE.

When we believe that God can do anything, we mean ANYTHING.

If He (or She) can create the entire wonderful universe from the smallest subatomic particle to the the most immense galaxy to the amazing complexity of the human mind then He will have no problem hearing and answering billions (not just millions) of people's prayers at once.

Whenever people try to put God in any kind of box (saying He can not do this or that), they get into trouble.

With love in Christ.

He has legions upon legions (tens of thousands) of angels carrying messages back and forth. Also, simply because God is God. It's not crazy. It's Who He Is! He's not on man's level and nobody can truly comprehend the mind of God who made this Universe. Yep, He's got the owner's manual for all of it and the world is in His hands. He is omniscient and omnipresent. He knows the past, present and future. He is everywhere we are and beyond. I've absolutely been amazed over and over again at the personal care He's taken to answer my little prayers when He has a whole universe to operate. Just goes to show God's infinite wonderful love for us unworthy creatures on an individual basis.
I never really believed in Santa although my Christian parents didn't discourage visits to him at all. I just knew it for myself the same way I asked Jesus into my heart at age 5 and knew that He came into my heart and there was a real change.

In my opinion, God is everywhere. He's close to each and everyone of us, closer than our own breaths. There is no comparison to God and Santa Claus because to me, Santa Claus is fiction and was made up for children. You can't compare the two.

There are some things in life that defy explanation. When you are a witness to so many miracles, you wouldn't have to question God. I have been through so much, I have seen so much. I have achieved much!! Whenever people ask me how I've accomplished the great things in my young life, I just lift my head and give God the praise. Believing in God is more than a "comfort", for me it's a way of life. I've seen the miracles in my life, I've seen the miracles in many others lives and I don't question it. I've talk to skeptics who just look at me in amazement when they try to think about how I've accomplished everything on my own (physically) being a single, young black woman. I've worked very hard and have been blessed with wonderful job opportunites. Throughout many accidents, surgeries, pain and suffering, I'm still standing tall and I'm quite sucessful. Where I'm from there aren't too many young black women who are able to purchase their dream homes. That was one of my prayers, Lord bless me with my own home and through hard work and determination, he did it. I have been blessed with many bigger, better things like the ability to counsel and help others.
I could go on and on all day telling about the wonderful things I've expereinced but that would take far too long!! I just wish everyone could experience the wonders of God for themselves, that way they wouldn't have to question it.

I've been praying since I was a child and it never ends. Hopefully one day everyone will be able to witness the miracles that God can provide and experience his love for themselves. Many people don't understand therefore just don't get it, and it isn't their faults. I don't believe in criticizing someone for their beliefs, but I refuse to let someone ridicule me for mine. Especially when they haven't walked in my shoes or experienced the wonders I have.

We, in our finite state at the moment, can not even come close to touching the concept of infinity. God is infinite, so the number of prayers is never an issue for God, nor is governing His infinite creation a problem for Him. If God were finite, then a couple million prayers may be His limit, but this is not so. It is nice to know that He hears all of us, even now.

This is very insulting of you as just a mere human being, telling people to "use" their minds, as though somehow you were so superior in thought to the rest of us, as to explain away something simply because it's not within the realms of your thinking, therefore it cannot exist.

If you consider yourself against the size of the earth, you are less than a grain of sand. If you consider the earth did not create itself, what is the earth compared to a God that is outside of time, outside of limits. We are limited, we have a beginning. God is eternal. That's why in the bible He referred to Himself as "I AM". How can you explain God? How can a person who is limited even hope to fathom an eternal God? Can you fathom the intricate design of an eye ball? A brain? the signals that pass through a person's mind? The entire set up of a human body is so incredible in design and detail, that it literally defies belief. you could spend your life studying the eye and being blown away by the detail, let alone the rest of the human being itself.

To God, to hear millions/billions of prayers is as easy as you listening to one person. He hears all as though everyone were the only one praying to Him.

It is crazy to believe that there is no God. That somehow we all just arrived, or a big explosion had all the relevant information as to start off an entire process of existance, and that includes everything we have to eat, drink and breath and including the DNA we all have, which by the way, has more information in it than all the libraries put together around the world over and over.

You sit here at your computer, staring at a screen, yet the computer itself had a designer. THe chair you sit on didn't just arrive, it was made. You look a picture, it has a painter, Everything you look at had to be created. This is why we are called creatures.

Your ability to attempt to explain AWAY God, is more ludicrous than people defending their belief in God, considering you have no idea how to explain the unspeakable design of life itself, or the intelligence that is behind it all. The entire concept escapes you because your mind does not even rise above anything, other than if you can't fathom it, it don't exist right?

Try using YOUR mind PLEASE and stop insulting others with the limits you place on yourself. It isn't just about using your mind, it's opening your eyes to what is around you. Only a fool says in his/her own heart there is no God. They are without excuse.

He set before you His entire creation during your life on earth, it's all there. we have the capacity to think of higher things, to argue amongst ourselves on spiritual matters, to have the idea of eternity in our minds, to cry tears, to laugh. Everything about you are is a miracle, yet though you see, you remain blind.

I truly understand you. At first I thought what a nice question but when i kept reading u make it sound like u're an atheist. As a christian I've had problem with that question but it should be obvious for me to know that God can hear everyone at the same time because when i ask him something he does it for me and when somebody who lives in portugal/brazil/argentina prays he answers him.

Not crazy!!!!

There is what is called the "image of God"...... and individually, every man is given to that image...... it is within him.... Within each man individually.......

As man is the "temple" which houses that image of God, or rather, his spirit..... He enters a place that is taken for granted..... We call it "going to sleep"..... But, in all actuality we enter the kingdom of God......(luke 17:21).......

It is the only place where a camel can indeed go through the eye of a needle.... where a man can fly... and we can speak and understand animals.....

Some wake up crying... some shaking... some jumping... some wake up screaming..... and these are real..... that place is very real......!!!

It is this place, where no man can tell a lie.... Where angels enteract with mankind.... and where man can ask and receive an answer from God......

and so we dream......

As we dream, we enteract with God..... In that place...... Where He reads the hearts of men.....

Only... .the language is hard to understand.... so we call it a "mystery"...... we dismiss the dream because we think that we have only dreamt a dream.....

But, I tell you the truth..... The dream is a page of your life's story.... great changes are chapters anew..... and at the end of this telling of stories..... Which contain the links, if you will, to all men who have ever lived in this world, then His-story will be done.... But, not without one man's story... and that is the dream.... The dream is what life is about...... We are telling on ourselves in that place.... Our life's story.....

But, the book of life... belongs to God.... it is called History..... It is within that the story begins.... It is seen in dreams..... and God reads it every night.....

If one can understand the language of it, one can receive the advice of God as well..... But, remember too... we wrestle with our own demons in that place too.... and so the kingdom of heaven is coming for that purpose........

You are the writer of your own life's story... You decide the characters you will enteract, you decide the path you take in life... and ultimately what you will do with your life.....

God is the Editor..... He will take your story and publish it if it is worthy..... He will offer advice on how to improve it.... If you are open to listening to that small voice......

me?.... I'm the proofreader.... and so it is that I can only help you to understand the "story" that you have written..... I'm a dream interpreter..... ((Job 33:23-24))... and (Job 33:14-18))

I hope you'll read these verses to understand this point......

Also read.....Revelation 20:12

Ginger,
((dream Interpreter))

Actually, he doesn't have to. Lamentations 3:44 says "for you have placed a cloud mass that our prayers may not pass through." Meaning that NOT ALL prayers are pleasing to God, and those he doesn't even hear. NOW, here's the REAL QUESTION:

"How does he block prayers that are offensive to him, before he's even heard them?" He sounds pretty awesome to me! He even has Prayer Screening! Talk about having it all, how can you not love that?

God is above all of us and we are like small ants before Him. It is said in the Bible that Sky is His throne and the earth is His footrest. He has millions of angels with Him and they can hear what we talk or do. That is why it is said the words we say are have to be good always. What ever we speak can be taken to God. But whatever we think in our mind is transperent to God.Sometimes our prayer is heard immediatly and sometimes later. He knows what is urgent and what is ordinary. Do not worry, what ever you or me ask in the name if Jesus Christ it will be given to us. God bless you!

Because God have millions of very big ears... Use your brain and try to understand the concept of God is not the big old guy with a beard your mom and pop told you about, but it doesn't mean it doesn't exist either. Grow up.
