I had a pastor who only focused on materialistic things such as buying a big house and he even said at the pulpit that he wants to have a million dollars so he can buy two jet planes instead of saying," I want to save a million souls for Christ.

Because they are of the devil, not of God. A true pastor or priest or bishop or whoever leads the church, wants to save souls, not money. This is true of all religions!!

There a trend for explaining the greatness of God through the wealth he bestowes upon the faithful. It is particularly evident in the US where materialism is in reality second to no religion.

I have heard useful messages intertwined with the material message. However, if the result
is to be inspired by personal monetary wealth, then maybe we are just hearing a 'popularist' sermon which gets the theology wrong.

Your common sense should tell you that a decent person who does not lie , cheat, or steal, should not worry himself about the destination of his soul.
Be a kind, considerate human being ,and stop tripping- out on mystical matters that no living person could possibly know anything about.

the sole factor that would desire to be seen as an aspiration is to be present now. Even it somewhat is unquestionably purely a assertion of what's. there is not something to attain or to attempt to be, i'm. now could be all that exists and holds interior all of it it somewhat is mandatory. As I tell my daughter as oftentimes as she would be able to take heed to relax into this 2nd and you will see what you concept you have been searching for is physically powerful right here now or this is not worth of your interest.

Just remember the words of Christ. He said "Not everybody who calls me Lord will enter the kingdom of God, only those who do the will of my Father who is in Heaven". He said many will try and enter but will be unable to, and will have the door shut in their faces. He said many people on that day will say Lord, have we not prophecied in you name, cast out demons in your name and have we not performed many miricles in your name, and Jesus will say "Depart from me you worker's of iniquity".he will say "For I was hungry and you did not feed me, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was in prison and you did not come to visit me, I was naked and you did not clothe me. They will respond Lord since when did we see you naked and not cloth you, since where did we see you hungry and give you no food, since when did we see you thirsty and not give you anything to drink since when did we see you in prison and not visit you, and the king will say "Depart from me, I do not know you. Away to the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
