I find your intolerance quite unbelievable, striking at best.
Why then, if your property is so "officially atheist", can you have talk of GOD on your computer screen? It would seem that all this talk of GOD on these RELIGION forums should not be allowed on your premises. Because that's all these RELIGION forums really are: discussions about GOD and HIS power and effects on us.
May GOD bless you and your property, even though you do not welcome HIM...

It is your right to refuse anyone to enter your property for any reason. I just hope you do not go into some religious properties with the same attitude as you are. Why don't you buy an island where sharks are all around to protect you and lots of vicious dogs to scare them away. You can't help having religious people around your life where you probably live. Are you sure you are not buying things produced by religious people? Where do you get those items because I am like you but I cannot get away with these people so I just blended myself with them and they know me as I know them. We just do not discuss about our belief and disbelief but we are friends and I do not get hungry for the food we oftentimes share together. I do not have enemy and we do not hate each other.

It sounds like the crucifix means more to you than a lot of so called Christians, prayer too. Maybe your a christian in denial? Remember it's your property but people have a right not to have other people lay there hands on them in a threatening manner, you could end up getting hurt yourself. Even though I hope not, make sure people know how you feel before they come on your property to avoid the problem altogether.

Sure you can do it..but you may be arrested for assault.
I do wonder just what it is that scares you about someone you say does not exist? If you do not think GOD exist why get so upset if someone prays? I do not believe the Easter bunny so if you want to talk to it, it would be no sweat off my back.
BTW...what would you do if someone had a tattoo on their arm you did not like...would you tear their arm off?
What would you do if you had an accident and needed an EMT and the only one there had a tattoo you did not like...would you accept help or would you refuse?

Well, my apartment is officially Catholic -- but that doesn't mean that I would make you wear a crucifix or carry Rosary beads if you came to visit me.
I would only ask that you respect my faith. If some Jewish guy came in wearing a yarmulke, though, or if a Muslim woman came in wearing a veil or burqa, I wouldn't be so intolerant as to make them take it off.
I wouldn't make a federal case out of pushing my religion to visitors in my home -- as you have done by pushing your "religion" on anyone who comes into your home.
To answer your question -- yes, it would be very wrong for you to rip my crucifix necklace (yes, I do wear one) if I came into your home. I would expect a bit more religious tolerance from my host.
But, of course, whether it's an officially atheist house or an officially atheist country, this is what happens. The people in charge of the place -- whether it's your house, or the former Soviet Union -- will persecute believers, harrass them, not allow them to express their faith, and even banish them. You'd banish them from your home, just as the Communist thugs in the USSR would banish them to the gulags.

I understand about your property, but I do think it was a step too far to remove someone's personal religious item the way ya did. You could have just asked them kindly to step off of your property as you do those with tattoo's and such. Its ok to have your own rules and qualms, but when said rules cause you to cause harm to others, whether it be physical or mental, you gotta wonder is it really worth it.

You don't have to allow anyone on your property that you don't want. If however you put your hands on someone without cause you might spend some time in jail. Wearing a religious symbol is not a good cause in the eyes of the law.

No, it is not wrong, just a little harsh and gives a negative vibe towards other atheists such as myself.
If you ask someone to leave your property, then they have to leave. However, using physical violence is a tough legal call, and could wind you in serious trouble. Check with a lawyer for your EXACT rights regarding this issue.
P.S. I know they are annoying sometimes, but try to be the better man in this. I try to set myself to higher standards than do Christians, and feel much better deep down for it.

Yes it is wrong, just like it is wrong to rip *anything* off of *anybody*. It is even more wrong since it seems to stem from hatred toward someone's belief. It is OK to not believe in a religion (and to believe in atheism. It is your choice.), however it is *not* OK to HATE others for believing differently. Hate is one of the biggest things preventing World Peace. If they do not want to remove it then perhaps you just should not allow them in there. But I would advise that you be flexible in letting people in, and not be a bigot against people who believe in religion just because you don't believe in it.

What are you afraid of A? You cannot change your surroundings. Its what you believe (or don't believe) in your heart that matters. You cannot tell people how to dress or what to carry. Just don't feel threatened by what people have or wear or even bring. Believe what you believe.
Anyway, no matter what you do, you can't keep the Holy Spirit out.

Yes
Its called a simple assault and could land you jail time.
You'd be liable for the destruction of private property, and , in this day and time, probably some mental anguish , as well.
