i have been christian for a while and i just recently watched a documentary on national geographic. they actualy found a chromosome or something like that that linked all the way to the very first complex thinking man/neanderthal. and eventualy evolved. since then i have done some thourough research on evolution and i have to say it just makes alot of sense. and its kinda freaking me out. its questioning what i beleive in but it makes more sense and there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that just about proves the theory about 99.9 percent. i also read up on the bible and its content and i realized that theres no way it could have been a direct word from god because its recorded somewhere that HUNDREDS of people wrote parts in it. it also explained how their is strong evidence that the bible and jesus's teaching have been greatly altered to control the masses.

i dont know what do beleive in. its just that there is so much evidence of corruptness and so much logical science to.

Don't worry, you're going to be okay.

I'm a Christian and I've asked and ran across those same questions before. Did we evolve or were we created? How were the scriptures put together and who wrote them?

I personally believe that we were created. Maybe it happened in a flash, maybe it happened over millions of years, I don't know, and neither does science. Keep in mind that what you are reading is theory. Bottom line. It's like science has discovered different pieces of a huge puzzle and are trying to put them together and think they lead in this or that direction, but they truthfully don't know for sure.

Yes, the bible was written by different people. It is a collection of books, a library, that took thousands of years to write. A lot of people try to approach the bible as if they were reading a history book or encyclopedia. The bible is a book of faith. It is the story of our creation by God, our fall into sin, and His plan being worked through thousand of years to lead us to salvation. Yes, there are historical accounts and such, but it's purpose is to show us our origins and how we got where we are today. Think about it, there are thousands of ancient texts out there just as old as the bible. These are stories - an account of something happening that someone decided to write down in their own words. In those stories, we have no real way of knowing exactly what happened and how it happened - camcorders and cameras didn't exist back then. It's almost the same thing with the bible, but the difference is the bible is the inspired Word of God. It is meant for you faith.

I'll leave you with this: when the earth passes away and we all face God, will anything of the world matter anymore? And if God isn't there, then what hope do we have? What matters anymore after that?

Email me if you like if you have more questions. I'd be glad to help.

God bless.

The enemy of God (satan) was so hapi with your reaction... u made him very hapi. How about one day, science will tell u that there was another planet earth full of people and living with a different religion? As science, by time evolved and trying to remove pluto from the list... is it realy worth believing too? Did u learnt that earth was sorrounded by the sun, moon and stars only to find out it was orbiting a star? Okay, the Bible as u said is a product of corrupted minds... havent u think that the bible is just a living proof of its impossible journey to survive time. In itself it was already a mystery... how it came to ur table as it was written long before the elements of the Periodic Table was invented? I wish to say then that the 7 days of creation is not equivalent to 168 hours. Literal translations without looking deeper unto its meaning will lead to different interpretations as we do now. Perhaps i should say your evolution will be between 10 to 100 million yrs... my wisdom said the 7-day creation is possibly longer that those defined in the discovered relics or the big bang itself... Truly seeing is believing, but lucky are those who believed that life has a bigger purpose, far beyond academic intelligence. Pls. come back... Roger

you have to remember, that national geographis is there to broadcast both versions of the theories of evolution and creation. it all depends on which show you watch and which teachers you listen to.
I believe Dr Dino has a website and he discusses the Untruths of of science taught as pure fact. Darwinian evolution is Less true the scriptures are as compiled in todays bible. But the bible is not always truth either. What is true, is your faith in God. I bear witness of jesus christ and the visions i saw. I am completely convinced these visions prove that there is a God while science has it Great achievements scientists can be blinded by politics just as sure as any religion or any church doctrine.

You are not too far from the truth. just a littel confused. thats all.

More and more scientists are actually discrediting the big bang theory and evolution on the basis that it just doesn't make sense, physically. How can our world be under the law of entropy, the steady decay of matter into a state of less energy, and yet still evolve into something complex and requires energy to live. In other words, how come everything dies, but there has been nothing yet to stay living....isn't that the point of evolution.

Don't worry about the details of how God created the earth, and dinosaurs, and etc. Just concentrate on His Spirit, and He will lead you. You can always ask God when you are in heaven, I know I'm going to :-)

Stay strong in His word, ok....

A true believer may have a few doubts now and then but the evidence of Christ should be in your heart and not in your logic. Faith comes through hearing and hearing through the word of God. A true believer hears God's voice within their heart. Satan will try to deceive a christian anyway he can especially when we are in doubt. Try to recall why you first believed, and never forget it. Who are you listening to, God's word or the world's? If you are a true believer then you should know, that He is the Truth, the Way and the Life.

There is plenty of scientific evidence to support Creation. Read the article at this link first.

There are plenty of lies put out there by scientists who don't want people to believe in Creation. Don't listen to them. As for hundreds of people each having a part in writing the Bible, well, of course there were lots of people writing it. It took hundreds of years to write the Bible, because it was written after events took place.

God inspired holy men of old to write each book, sometimes one person wrote several books. They are each written in the fashion of the author, but God inspired every word.

And you are correct in that the Bible has been altered. But only in some translations, like the NIV and the Book of Mormon, and the Catholic Bible. Stick to the King James Version, if you want the best English version out there.

The world hates christians and will try till the end of day to destroy our beliefs. Sure science can seem to make sense. So they found a chromosome and came up with a scientific explanation and hypothesis. Thats science of man. Not science of God. Science is based on theories made up by man.

Consider the alternative of Evolution compared to your Christian faith. Nothing simply became everything, or out of nothing God made everything. Creation makes more sense than Evolution because someone is then in control. The world is not just chaos. It is broken because of sin but it was made perfect. Even in it's broken state the world is too amazing to simply be made up of chance.

Don't just simply believe what you are watching on a tv show.

Go find someone in your church who can help you search for the answers to your questions - they are worth asking and worth answering!

You need to pray and seek God.The Bible teaches us that in the last days there would be a great falling away.A lot of questions with few answers.Science is teaching all theory with a few dashes of truth.God said "science falsely so called".
We all have many questions.God will one day give us the answers.Read the Bible and see for your self who wrote it.The Holy Ghost inspired men of God to write the Bible.I have prayed for you, remember "believe a lie and be damned".Keep your faith in God.<><
