Ok, as I walking, Jehovah's Witnesses are always passing out pamphlet. I said no, thank you politley. When I'm at home, some christians come by to recruit me into their religion. I said, no thanks, I'm Taoist. Apparently, they DID NOT want to hear that and TRIED TO TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY RELIGION! They were like "forget taoism, god is the path of all life. Your religion is heathen!". I mean what the hell is that?! One of my Muslim friends told me that the same thing happened to him. If I'm happy in a religion, why would THOSE christians attempt to imperialize me with their religion? I'm a taoist and that's plain and simple. WHY CAN'T THE RECRUITERS TAKE NO FOR A ANSWER?

In what universe does "passing out pamphlets" constitute 'shoving religion down another's throat'? This reminds a fairminded observer of the Shakesperian proverb "The lady doth protest too much."
A common misconception is that Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door because they feel it is their duty to "recruit" a householder, or get him to "convert". In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses would go from door-to-door even if there were no hope that anyone would change their religion, or even if no one would listen to them!
That is because Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation, with no regard for specific results.
(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to direct attention to the bible, and move on when their message is unwanted. Since each congregation in the United States tries to call at every home in its territory at least twice each year, there is strong motivation for them to move on where little interest is shown. Also, the Scriptures help the Witnesses to expect little interest from most:
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

I'm curious. Do you feel in your heart of hearts that the religion you follow is "the" religion?
That is how I feel from the bottom of my heart. One illustration I'm sure many have heard is the one about the burning house.
If I saw you in a burning house, I would do everything in my power to get you out of that house.
Based on the scripture found at Matthew 7:13,14
“Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.
I feel that is what I am doing when I knock on your door, or try to pass you a pamphlet.

Because they sit on an imaginery fence that they have created. This allows them to look down on all others, and feel good about themselves. The worst part is, they will never know they are wrong, because when you die, that's it. The best thing to do, is to approach them with the same weird niceness and try to convert them to something you don't even believe. Try ancient Greek mythology. That'll throw them over.
"My dear Christian heathen, if you don't follow the word of Zeus, you are doomed for all eternity in the depths of of the river Styx by the demon god Hades."

the reason different religions do no longer pontificate is by way of the fact in maximum religions it somewhat isn't any longer allowed. To Umar B, Muslims are no longer allowed to transform people, they gained't shove their faith down your throat, you're thinking of the overzealous media reporting via Christians that Muslims are attempting to take over the international. there may be some terrorist videos shown yet you will in no way get any Muslim handing you a leaflet on a street nook. the reason Christians bypass around attempting to transform people is by way of the fact Christianity is going down the pan, it has the optimal stages of congregation decline out of all religions. faith in basic terms would not slot in with hedonistic values interior the west (i.e the yankee dream, the main unchristian cost interior the international). in case you get jehovah's witnesses in basic terms stick a blood doning decal on your window, they in no way call lower back. If it somewhat is others in basic terms tell them you're gay (may cause them to attempt harder although)!

Wow, that is terrible. Some people just cannot think beyond themselves. I always say the measure of a person's intelligence lies in his/her ability to feel empathy, and ability to walk in another's shoes. They were so wrong to judge you in that way. I wonder if they ever took the time to learn about your religion before shooting it down. I am a Catholic, but I would never give information unless asked. That is just rude.

.Christians are told it is a part of their faith to spread the Word,to try to bring as many as they can to God and Jesus.Unfortunately, too many seem to feel that means they must MAKE people listen to their message,to Make others see "the error of their ways".I apologize for their behavior. We are supposed to offer you the chance to hear the Word, but in a friendly and joyful manner that shows you just what God has done for us,and leave the rest up to God and your own heart. If God urges us to go back every so often to continue to plant the seed, still we are supposed to do it pleasantly and cheerfully, and to accept rejection the same way.God will move in His own time and in His own way. Ask your Muslim friend what happened when his ancestors tried to force people to accept Islam. At least we don't really try to use force, nowadays

Your version reminds me of Christ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. All the people were praising Jesus. The Pharisees ask Jesus to rebuke His disciple for praising Him and Jesus said : "..I tell you that , if these should hold their peace , the stones would immediately cry out."Luke 19:40. There just isn't going to be no stones crying out around a Christian who is true.I will be praying for you.
