We all love talking about ourselves, so if theres a silence, ask him questions about himself. Anything you don't know like where he grew up, places he's visited, his favorite anything. Heck, where he got his shirt. Always respond with something along the similar topic about yourself.

If you do not feel you have anything to talk about you should not go. No one can advise you on how to act on a date. Conversation should flow naturally. You must have spoken about something or how else would you be going on a date with him?? And I agree...internet dating is bad. They may come across as charming till you meet...

Be up front, tell him you are bit nervous. I like a movie date - you meet for a quick drink and catch the movie, have supper after and can chat about the movie and whats been happening in your lives since you last met. Good luck

Just show the slightest interest and he'll do all the talking! Else, talk about favourite stand up comedians. Good luck! ;-)
BTW, your tag, EW... did you get that from the film The Cube?
