A thoughtful one. It means that they really know me and that they just didn't pick something out that they thought i'd like. and they bought it because of the price tag. I got socks for christmas*yes socks* but they were amazing socks and i love them!! my aunt knew i loved them thats why she bought them.

A gift one puts thought into for some could be expensive it's up to the person giving the gift. The best gifts I've recieved have been thoughtful and small but I've been given expensive gifts on occassion definately had a lot of thought put into them.

A thoughtful one, definitely! My boss gave me a $225 Burberry cashmere scarf for Christmas, which I believe he probably picked up on the way to work that day. I have many scarves and don't need any. The gift was expensive but thoughtless. It's sitting at the top of my closet right now collecting dust. :( I would have much rather had a nice box of chocolates or a gift card to my favorite department store.

Thoughtful DEF! Like if you have secret santa or something, and you have no money limit, and you give your person a $30 gift and she gives you a $5 one, that person might be thinking you are trying to buy her friendship, or she'll feel embarsesed that she didn't buy something like you.
Thoughtful will mean you care about that person. Expensive, well, worth the money things are nice, but thoughtful is much nicer.

A thoughtful one!
expensive gifts dont always bring happiness....unless u know some one cant relly afford something and would love to have it!
TIME is the best gift u could give ur loved ones...so take out ur time and be thoughtful and give them something which they will cherish forever!

Definitely a thoughtful one. An expensive gift is soon forgotten, a thoughtful gift is never forgotten.

Why expensive when the person may not even appreciate.Find the right gift then look at the price tag not to look at the price tag first
In the end we want that person to appreciate the gift.

Definitely thoughtful. For example, there are family members who frequently give me nice jewelry for the holidays - but I seldom wear jewelry. They could get me much less expensive items that I would put to more use.
