Ok, I'm having a New Year's Eve party and I don't know what all I can make with the Alcohol I have. I have a gallon of Vodka and a bottle of Spiced Rum. Now it's only going to be for 5 people. I can also get any
type of juice I need. What drinks should I make?

This is what I'd suggest:

Make some jello shots: 1 small package of jello, 1 cup water, half cup of vodka. Add the jello to boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Add vodka. Pour into little plastic cups (your local liquor store will carry them, probably, or get some from a friend who works at a restaurant). Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Get some orange juice to mix with the vodka to make screwdrivers.

Check the wine aisle at the supermarket for drink mixers. They've got a lot of fancy flavors now. If your group is mostly girls, get appletini mix, chocolate martini mix and/or cosmo mix. All you'll have to do is mix the vodka with the mix and some ice.

If you have a martini shaker that's a nice touch. If you want to go super fancy, get some finely ground colored sugar to rim the glasses with. If you do chocolate martinis, get chocolate magic shell (ice cream topping). Put the glasses in the freezer for a few minutes, then squeeze magic shell around the rim and put the glasses back in the freezer until you're ready to use them. They'll look like the rims were dipped in chocolate. You can garnish cosmos with a slice of lime and appletinis with a slice of granny smith apple.

Oh, you can mix cranberry juice, vodka and a few drops of vanilla extract for a very nicely flavored drink.

I'm not sure what to do with the spiced rum other than mix it with Coke.

Have fun and be safe! Keep in mind that in some states, if you let a guest drive home drunk after you've given them alcohol, you can be sued if they get in an accident. I know that's the law here in Texas.

Vodka goes rather well with most sour tasting juices. Cranberry, and/or orange juice is often favored. Some people recommend grapefruit, but that isn't to my liking. if you can really get "any type of juice," pomegranite juice would make for a real treat. Bloody maries are also a good drink for Vodka. Spiced rum is pretty good in anything from coke to egg nog.. and isn't a bad shot by itself either. Pineapple juice would work well with either, or both liquors in it.

If you could grab up some Whiskey, Tequilla, and coke you'd have all the fixings for long island iced tea.

Hey,
I usually go to www.drinkswap.com. You can put in the ingredients you have and it will show you what drinks you can make with those ingredients, or with one or two other ingredients.

There are alot of drinks you can make with the vodka. Just get a few types of juices(cranberry, orange juice, etc.) and mix them together over ice.

For the rum, you could buy some eggnog for holiday drinks.

I would keep it fairly simple, buy the following:

1) Ice
2) Orange Juice
3) Cranberry Juice
4) Coke

Drink options:

1) OJ and Vodka
2) Cranberry Vodka
3) Rum and Coke

Use lots of ice if the vodka is a lower quality one. I would also keep the vodka in the freezer (it won't freeze) so the drinks don't get watery.

First, get lots of ice.

Get some coke-- rum and cokes are good (with a little lime on the side) and make it a "Cuba Libre".

Vodka is also nice with cranberry juice.
