went to the doctor about ten days ago because i had symptoms of an uti well it came back positive i was put on meds. My right side where my kidney is has a sharp jabbing pain now i had a horrible headache i can't get rid of! I think i'm going to go insane! I made a appt to see the doc at 9:30 am tomorrow morning what can i expect now? Will he put me on more antibiotics? At least give me some kind of pain reliever i've tried all the other pain relievers such as tylenol and so on. It gave me no relief not trying to ramble on and on but what can i expect?

You could have a kidney stone, I just don't know...but keep going to the doctors, because you don't want the infection to get into your blood stream...he probably will give you more medication,....but listen, if he doesn't I would suggest you go the emergency room, and not mess with this...take some aleves for now, as they do help with the pain, and are very good as far as over the counter pain relievers are concerned, and very important, DRINK LOTS OF WATER...you need to flush your kidneys and all of the infection out a.s.a.p..Good luck, darling...take care, and feel better.

if you can make it to the store, get yourself about a leter of pure cran jusice none of that cocktail crap. drink as much as you can as fast as you can and then cross your knees and hole it till your eyes turn yellow... that way the juice has soem time to work its magic. another thing that will help for the pain... and it sounds silly but im bad to get uti's since iwas lil so i have all kinds of relieving tricks but the most effective it to run a hot hot bath and lay in there with an ice pack on your blatter or kidney area. i know it sounds stupid but try it it will work. i mean what have you got to loose right. good luck to ya hun, this is probably the absolute worse part of being a woman. hope ya feel better

Tell your Dr. that you want some of those pills that make you pee orange. I can't remember the name of them, but they numb your bladder, and urinary tract. They are great.
