yes its normal we want to feel that you also got something out of it and besides that it may be bragging right, make the guy feel good lie to him if you have to

Lots of guys do that. It is somehow an indication of their masculine ability. Tell him you feel uncomfortable always giving him a count and ask him if that is the reason he 'does it' with you, to keep track?
Ask him to just appreciate that you want to be with him and when it happens it will and when it doesn't it isn't a reflection on him or his abilities cause women don't have to come every time to enjoy the act.

Well, if he has to ask you, then either he is insecure, or he knows you haven't at all, and wants to see if you will lie and say you did.
Maybe if you try making some noise he won't have to ask...I don't think I have ever had a man ask me that, because they knew without having to ask...
He should also know, because most guys can feel you tighten around them when you climax. At least that has been my experience.

a lot of guys ask that question because they want to be sure they are pleasing you...if he isn't then he is going to want to make sure that he does more things that make you happy in bed...guys like to know they are good in bed and love to be told things like that to boost their ego...

yup, normal for a guy that's new at it, or is just not sure of what he's doing. tell him to stop asking, and that if you want more or need more, you'll tell him.
