Actor, I'd say Johnny Depp. Yes, he's great looking, but that's not the only reason. He picks interesting roles that he likes, rather than whatever he knows will make the most money. And no matter the part, he plays it wonderfully.
Actress... I don't know. I like Natasha Richardson. I think she's pretty and a good actress, from what I've seen.

I am not the kind of person who likes/admires an actor for their looks or necessarily the movies they are in. I have always been attracted to the ones who can do pretty much any role WELL.
Take Tim Curry for instance. You can dress this man up as a transvestite (a sweet one at that) a child-killing clown, and a devilish creature and he nails it. He also has a knack for voice-overs. He is just great, which is why he is my favorite actor.

I like the varied roles and involvement that Johnny Depp potrays in his roles - he comes across as an intelligent actor - almost like a Jeff Goldblum.. George Clooney is a good looker..

ACTOR: Robert DeNiro..the best "method" actor ever...he can delve into any role and you forget it's DeNiro and you concentrate on the character
