I have been Rx'd Oxycontin by my pain doctor for herniated cervical discs, RA, Fibromyalgia, chronic Lyme disease, Peripheral Neuropathy. It has been a miracle. While I am still not 100 percent, it has greatly reduced the pain I suffer from.
I would also not believe the hype surrounding this medication.
If taken as Rx'd for pain the chances of becoming addicted are incredibly low. That is not to say you won't become dependent but this is very different from addiction.

My uncle was in a bad car accident and was prescribed oxycontin. I don't think it took all the pain away, but it did seem to help a lot.

Oxycontin is terrible! it is also highly addictive.. I prefer to use Tramadol for my pain. I also take Soma Watson for a muscle relaxer. Tramadol is used to relieve moderate to moderately severe pain. It also may be used to treat pain caused by surgery and chronic conditions such as cancer or joint pain. Tramadol works by decreasing the brain's perception and response to pain. Tramadol also reduces the size or magnitude of the pain signal passed from one nerve to another. Soma is a muscle relaxant used to relieve the pain and stiffness of muscle spasms and discomfort due to strain and sprain. I get these Pain Meds Online without a prior prescription at http://painmedsonline.net/ . They only use US licensed Doctors and Pharmacies in the USA! you can order with confidence.

it is lab created heroin, and it really helps with pain, but is very addictive. I was on the patch after back surgery, had to get off the stuff it really effects you, if you think you have an addictive personality don't even look at this stuff.
