Yes of course, You think we tell people to stay away from heroin because we are afraid of overdose? Thats just one of the milions of factors to stay away from such a drug. Aside from the liver, kidney, heart etc... damage it may cause, and the fact that eventually you will be so fixed on the stuff you may start shooting up, How about never being able to feel pleasure again? or become an emotional zombie, these are just some of the psychological problem associated to with it due to its homeostatic dysfunction that it causes in the brains neural chemistry. No nonmedical use of heroin is without health problems, not the least of which is addiction and all that entails.

And since street heroin is virtually all contaminated with some sort of adulterant, the junk in it could cause damage or infection or other irritation to the nasal membranes as well as other problems.
