i was at work one day after i broke up with my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years and this really hot guy that has been checking me out for about a week came in. i cashed him out and we started to talk. i dropped a hint that i was single and he told me " when i was done messing with those BOYS to give him a call" (im 20 yrs old and he is 48, i like the older ones) so i wrote down his number, called him that night and we have been together now for a year. so ya it worked very well. we are a very happy couple and im hoping that he is gonna pop the big question on me soon.

I think that most women will agree that pickup lines don't work. What does work, however, is open and honest communication. If you want to meet a girl, introduce yourself. If you want to get to know her better, ask her about herself. If you want to buy her a drink, ask her to let you buy her a drink. If you want to go on a date, ask her on a date. There's no need to try to be clever or sly about it... it normally just comes off as dumb and cheesy or totally desperate.

Someone once out of the blue wrote me a note simply saying
"I love you". I don't think he really did, and neither did i like him, but that comment put a smile on my face for ages and I still think about him (mind you this was at high school about 20 years ago now.....)

it wasnt a pick up line. it was a pick up act. lol.
this guy that really liked me and his friend were standing outside of class, and my friend and i were sitting there, waiting for the professor. then suddenly his friend shoved him at me, and i was kinda surprised, but i felt flattered that he was so nervous that his friend had to push him to get him to talk. inseperable ever since. good luck!
