is it good to be a nautical engineer right now?

i am planning to take up nautical engineering in my college. i cant decide what really kind of engineering i gonna take up.

There appears to be a Global Shortage of Engineers(From across ALL Fields).
Best to train in this Field,then maybe take a side-step later(Within the same field)

I think it is better to be a Aeronautical Engineer, especially if you stay in India or better in China. There is an aviation boom in these two countries. It would be much better if you become a Pilot. There is high demand for professional pilots. The pay packets are also very handsome.
