What has happened is that we went over there took away their authority and now we have to be over there to make sure the wrong people dont take over. hint Al Queda. I have a feeling that we are going to be over there forever. I think we should have just let them keep killing eachother and protected our homefront. As a soldier I think we are going to be here getting slaughtered nothing has changed since we been here. They are still killing eachother and fighting they just see us as getting in the way so they kill us too.

I am an Honorably Discharged US Army veteran. I Earned The Right.

Our troops God Bless the lambs led to slaughter. They are making tons of money for the Munitions and Petroleum Industries.
Munitions, you think it's Free? We all pay to make the makers of Guns, Smart Bombs, Tanks, Ships, the list goes on. EXTREAMLY RICH!!!

Tell Me?
Would we let Iraq or any other Nation into Our Lands and tell US what? I think Not. We would do the same as any other Nation Attacked.

Good question. I doubt our troops understand what they are doing. Just obeying orders. My uncle who humped an M-1 all over Korea said the same thing you did three years ago. We got rid of the Saddam government, made sure no WMD, so just pull out and let them sort it out between themselves. It is not a bad war from our troops end, just a stupid one from Washington DC.

Geneva Conventions require that we maintain a force there to provide internal security and national defense until Iraq can handle it.

We are training up Iraq's military and police to handle the job. Soon, we will have fulfilled our obligation and can pull out.

Bear in mind what happened in Afghanistan when nobody stuck around to stabilize it after driving the Soviets out...

we invaded and destroyed the infrastructure of Iraq. we just can't pack up one day and say "smell ya later!"...we have to leave Iraq better than it was before we invaded...it sucks, it's why we never should have went in
