I would be most humbled and grateful should I be truly forgiven when I know I have committed
wrong.

Truthfully speaking, it's when I have been forgiven. A slightly smaller peace falls in when I forgive others, because then I know I've given peace to somebody else.

Bluebootz,
When one is at peace with themselves, this is when we are forgiven by the Father through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Forgiving another is has for wronging you can be settling, but does not compare with God's forgiveness.><>

I have a harder time forgiving people. I like to hold grudges and slights and such, because I believe most people do not (or will not) learn if I continually wipe their slate clean.

So the few times I am able to truly let bygones be really bygones, I feel as if I have done something. It does not matter if people forgive me, for that I can do nothing about, but it means everything if I can learn to forgive.

To be honest niether, I feel at peace with myself when I am close to nature. When I feel apart of the natural world. Infact the further away I am from the bulldozer for money mentality of the subdue the earth religious crowd, the more peaceful I feel. I think I love the earth, it is as a mother to me. Not that it speaks(like i'm not crazy) but more like a beautiful womb. I guess thats why the one man god religions want to kill her. She gives birth, man cuts and burns. They could both live together in hormony and balance but Christianity, well theology seems determined to subdue her to the point of death.
Tears for the earth.

Hey Blue, nifty boots.
Forgiving others is usually an act I determine. Being forgiven is something I usually experience from God and is thus the greater peace giver...for me.

To answer the question, yeah I do feel better.

If you don't forgive the person that sinned against you, don't expect God to forgive you.

Matthew 6:14-15 (KJ21, 21st Century King James Version)
14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

When I forgive because that is me controlling and dealing with my own feelings on whatever the incident is that needs my forgiveness.

I am extremely hard on myself and tend to break myself down for very very little things. I am at more peace with myself with those around me express that life is okay and that everything will be okay as well.
