Thanks guys. My friend is anorexic and i don't know. I went through a lebanese invasion and i lost ten pounds because there was not a lot of food. i came back to the USA and i have gained a lot of weight. it's like i'm eating more "just in case", but not realizing it.

Well while you are trying to be health, and you know that your friend does have an eating problem, well try to make sure that you don't go on bign eatting and gain too much. Cause that can be unhealth too. I just kind of find it funny that after the other one wrote about an eating problem you had too. And you are trying to tell us that you are 14 was in another country where you could not get food, and that is why you weigh only that much at that hieght and age. So if you have been straving in this other country then now do you know that your friend here in this country was having an eating problem and what they will be calling it really soon. Seems kind of fishy to me, i could be wrong here, but it just seems really fishy. Lets hope you get to the weight you should weigh at that height, and age, and not go on a non eating stage, cause you think your too fat when you look at yourself. Or go on an eating kick where that is all you do , and you just can't stop eating. I still feel it is fishy. You take care of your self, and don't let yourself talk yourself into believing things that are not true. Stay safe , and healthy please...... Have a happy hoilday too.

I posted this in a similar question, I thought it might help...

First before you starve yourself, please go see a doctor if it is a concern. He/she can help you gauge why you can't lose weight or if you really do need to lose weight. They can help you find a healthy, sound way to maintain your weight without hurting yourself. Be frank and tell them all the feelings that you have. They will listen.

Second, ask yourself who is really telling you that you are fat. If you took all of your friends or foes, magazines, tv out of the equation..would you still think you are fat? Is your heart ok? or is it that you can't find the same size jeans as your peers? Your health and life are the most important things in the world. I wouldn't risk either to wear a tube top.

Thirdly, find something that gives you pride. Unfortunately in this world ribs showing is something to be proud of but there is so much more in this world. I don't know how old you are, but maybe join a club or group that share the same interests as you? Maybe a sport or maybe explore something that you want to do like knitting...either of those will give you pride in something that won't take your life or harm you.

I hope this helps and remember that women are much more than being thin. A woman has so much more to offer this world other than being thin. Check out some of the sites I posted to see another perspective. :)

Of course not! Don't rely on anyone on here anyway to tell you whether or not you weigh too much or not. Every body and person is different and people come in all shapes and sizes which are perfect for them! As long as you are healthy and completely happy with yourself you are perfect! If you are not happy just make sure you are changing yourself for the right reasons, mainly to be healthy and not for some other person, or what you think the world thinks of you. In the end you will not be happy because the only person who matters is yourself.

of course you dont weigh too much. for one thing you are a growing kid, and you may gain wieght but it is only natural...and plus your height and wieght ratio is not bad at all...just be careful. It is not good to be obsessing over your weight, especially at your age. Just remember, you are beautiful in god's eyes and those are the only eyes that count.

Well, if you haven't eaten much in a long period of time (like that military conflict you just mentioned) and start eating again, yeah, you are going to gain a bit of fat because your metabolism is confused. Try to eat more frequently, but less in quantity. That'll help your metabolism adapt. Good luck.

You're quite skinny for your height. Don't develop an eating disorder.
