The answers are falling on both sides of the fence...

So... do you think that any of it matters? If all of the good people are acting according to their own views on the subject and applying them for similar sins in their own lives; and, if they are still good people, then won't you be just as good as any of them without much regard over how you choose to answer this question for yourself?

You are making the mistake of believing that the Bible is absolute and that someone who knows the Bible better than you can answer your concern, right or wrong, as clearly as black and white are opposites. It appears that all of the answers given so far, all based on belief in god and the Bible, are correct... and yet they don't agree.

Although it is possibly correct to believe that the authors of the Bible intended it to be absolute, there are conflicts and differences from story to story and from verse to verse. The result is that it is not an absolute set of answers at all. With this in mind, you can probably see that there is no opinion which can be given about your question that is any more valid than the next, and you might see, too, that this true for any degree of Bible knowledge one might claim to possess.

Decide the issue for yourself... That's what your brain is best at... yield to your own best council and you won't go wrong.

This is the advice of an Atheist.

Yes. The Bible also says that there is no sacrifice left for the sins that are committed knowingly. Remember that forgiveness comes once one repents. When one repents, they must truly regret what they've done and make a sincere effort to not do it again. All the other sins will be judged and the persons needs to account for it on the day of judgment.

Most non-Christians just say that Christians can just go on sinning and be forgiven whenever they ask for forgiveness. That is not the case. "Repentance" and "Sincere effort to refrain" are important.

well if you say your sorry and keep doing your sin were you really sorry in the first place? So yes God forgives but we also must be willing to sin no more and avoid the occasions of sin. Presumption is a sin as well - an attitude of "it's ok, keep sinning God will forgive me. As a Catholic I believe in frequent confession, once a month or once every two weeks. Some sins I do confess more than once but I am always trying to overcome sin. Ask Christ to help you and offer your sins to him, and he will make you into one of his own. God Bless you!

Yes, if you have accepted Christ as both your Lord and your Savior then you are covered by God's grace and when you are Judged, God will see that sin but Jesus has already paid for it. That is the Savior side of Christianity. You must also accept him as Lord of your life. I dare you to read scripture. See who Jesus IS. He is perfect, sinless. You should model your life after his. That is making him your lord, not being perfect, but doing his will. Just sit and be quiet and listen to God. Ask Him questions, and he will answer them. Sometimes the answer isn't what you wanted, but He answers them none the less . . .
That may have been a little ling winded, so here is a summary:
Yes He forgives you of all sins, but if you believe in Him, you should hear a little voice on your shoulder simply tugging at your concience . . . that is God! If you are saved, that is how you will know He is there!

If you ask forgiveness for a sin but you're already planning in your heart to do it again because you think you can come right back and ask again, then no. It's pre-meditated sin. It shows no true remorse or repentance. Sincerity in the asking is required. Remember the adulterous woman at the well? Jesus told her of her sins and forgave her then instructed her....GO AND SIN NO MORE.

You've got a little problem with your logic. God forgives the sins of those who beleive that Jesu Christ died for their sins. Those who believe in Jesus are called Christians because they want to be Christ like. If someone is a Christian, they try to be like Christ who was sinless. If someone continues to do a sin then they probably don't believe in Jesus Christ with all their hearts and thus won't be forgiven.

God Bless!

Yessir. Everytime you ask for forgivess, you are forgiven, and your wiped clean of all your sin. so, since you are now clean, when you commit that sin again, it's as if you're commiting it for the first time. But God stil forgives you! He always will. But that doesn't mean you can just keep sinning because you'll be forgiven anyways.

God is just like parents always think that their children is kindness and goodness. Sometimes chiildren may made mistaks but god will always think their children will recover evantually. Although people continue doing that sin, god will forgive you as long as you already sincerely regret it and be sured no more do it.

Except for blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

"But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation." -- Mark 3:29
"...but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." -- Matthew 12:32
"...but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven" -- Luke 12:10

And in case you aren't sure what it means to blasphemeth, the defintion clearly states that blasphemy is an "impious utterance or action concerning God or sacred things."

Many Christians will bend over backwards coming up with the weirdest and wackiest definitions, which is strange since the Bible is very clear on the issue, as I've pointed out above.

BTW, I deny the Holy Spirit, cuz it's all made up and fake and stuff. You shouldn't believe it. And, if the Holy Spirit WAS real, it's evil and demonic and should be cast out from every person.
