the injection flea preventative for cats is program and it lasts 6 months. but there are better topical treatments out there. program only sterilizes the flea once it's on the cat so the flea can't reproduce. you should call your vet and ask about revolution is works for fleas, feline heartworms, other intestinal worms and ear mites. other reccomendations are frontline plus and advantage. all of these kill the flea once they bite the cat. and then treat the area the cat is in with cat safe products. never use anything that has a pyrethrin in it on a cat it is toxic to them. also don't use storebrand flea products for cats such as hartz or ones you can get at the local walmart, they may say safe for cats, but many cats have reactions to them.
and also you should never buy flea preventative online. you do not know how it is stored and if it fails you cannot get the manufacturers guarantee. only buy flea products from your vet, you are covered if they don't work and you know they have been handeled correctly. many vets now offer an online store where they will ship you products to your home.

You should be giving them a once a month treatment flea treatment that you can get at the vets, or you could keep them as indoor cats.
Revolution works great!! My cat never gets fleas, it costs approx $50 for 3 month supply, but you can get it cheaper if you buy online.

I don't know of any injection, but there is a monthly liquid you can get to put on them, you can get it from the vet, and it goes on the back of their necks, and last for a month.. does really well.. **** luck..
