You know, I have been with my current boyfriend for 4 years and we always have things to talk about. Maybe you call each other too much or maybe you are on the phone to long. Most guys don't like talking on the phone, so I think it is kinda funny.... Chemistry (the spontaneous reaction of individuals to each other, especially a mutual sense of attraction or understanding) is a key to obtaining a great relationship. You should definitely be able to carry a conversation; it should just flow. My boyfriend and I don't really carry on about topics... Conversation just happens when there is that certain connection. Silence is great when the both of you are alone together, but not over the phone!

Did you have trouble talking to him when you were friends? People usually over-think situations when they are worried about what the other will think of them. The best way to start a conversation is to be yourself. Which means talk about things you both like, and then it will usually get easier from there. But if you find you're stuck and he's doing all the talking, try to make comments to show him your payng attention and that you really care what he has to say. It's possible that he's talking so much because he's nervous and doesn't want the conversation to lag. He may just be waiting for you to jump in. (I hope it helps.)

WOW..u r lucky..my bf isnt much of a talker at all..i do ALL the talking...and it kindda works cuz i don't have a mouth..i have a blabber..
so anyway..listen to him..but dont keep silent cause it does bother me sometimes when i keep talking and he keeps silent..
talk about ur day..talk about wut u r interested in (like music or sports)...just talk...say anything that comes on your mind..i blab alot and usually half of the stuff am sayin..if not more is just nothingness..talking about random stuff like how guys lives are easier than girls life(not from the serious side..from the we get periods and we have to wax side) it was fun..pointless but fun..hmm..i dunno..just talk about anything random and start joking or teasing him about something if you don't have something to say.
u just need some more time 2 adjust to the fact that now u r dating...and u'll find your thing and get this mouth moving =)

well, either he isn't thinking about you, or he is trying to make you more comfortable by keeping the conversation rolling. If you have been friends for 2 yrs, it could just be that you aren't really used to the concept of dating yet. What did you talk about before??

Don't say anything until he stops. Then ask him, "And how does that make you feel." Basically, it will take a long time for him to grow into having a balanced conversation. Boy friend says it all.

What a rarity!!! Hang up on him. If he calls back, you'll definitely have a lot to say when you have to defend and explain yourself.
