As everyone knows, Thai judicial process is dead long!! It's long enough that people will forget that cruel scene of murder. Besides, the punishment by execution rarely happens in Thailand. However, this case has affected a lot to the image of the country. I think the officials will do their best and as quickly as they can to close this crime file. Also, I, as a Thai people, am sorry for the victim's family and friends.

If you are referring to the Canadian who was killed in Southern Thailand a few months ago. I was so sorry to hear that. Thailand does have the death penalty. I am not sure but, their laws are probably based on British law. But, with the problems with the Muslims in the south and the government working to create peace there. There may be amnesty declared in order to bring peace to the area.

Look at the murderers of the British woman in Pattaya. The suspects have already been convicted and sentenced to death. The sentence has not been carried through yet. This is what would normally happen IF they catch them. These guys talked or bragged about the rape. They convicted themselves.

There has not been an execution in Thailand since 2004. And there were 4 executions that year.
