Other answerers have made the point of French being different in Quebec than in france but it is also different in other places as well sometimes it gets mixed with other languages too.But the answerer who said that in Quebec English words are not accepted is wrong..There is a sign law that forbids the use of English. Depending where you go in Quebec and other places in Canada there are different dialects of French and different sayings as well.There are people in Canada from all over the world and you could learn from people from France here too and everyone else.The more I type the more gets erased I'm sorry I originally provided more but something is wrong with yahoo! France. Because if you go to Quebec, you will learn canadian expressions that aren't understood in other French speaking countries. In France, you'll learn the standart French, that every French speaker understand.

It depends upon what you intend to do with your French. If you'll be speaking to Canadians, learn French in Québec. But if you plan to communicate with Francophones anywhere else in the world (whether it be France, Switzerland, Belgium, North Africa, West Africa, the Middle East, or Asia), "French" French is your best bet. French French is understood by many more French speaking people in the world than Canadian French is.

Actually, in Quebec, you learn Quebecois, not regular French. In France you learn French.

It's all up to you, but I prefer French from France. It will be easily understood by people who knows how to speak French.

It depends if you like you like Quebecois or French culture better. Choose the place that has the culture most interesting to you.

in France, we accept some english words.
in Québec, all english words are forbidden. they speak a different french, le québecois. it's an old french, and with an accent.
as a french, i don't understand everything said in quebecois.
