I've read a lot of advice about growing out hair, and everytime there's something added in there about not straightening it or blow-drying it. That just won't work for me, I have to straighten my hair; my hair isn't curly, and it isn't straight- it's wavy, and it's not very long, so I can't just let it go. I hate gelling my hair, it looks wet and greasy. I need to keep straightening my hair, but my hair is so weak since I died it blonde twice, then brown twice; i had to dye it twice since the first time I died it brown it didn't keep the color from being so damaged and weak from the blonde hair dye. I am in desperate need of GOOD advice. I WANT LONG HAIR SOOO BADLY! i've been trying to grow it out since like 7th grade, and it's pretty much the same exact length. please help me.

Don't bleach it anymore. For beautiful long hair, keep the ends trimmed. All you need to do is cut an inch or so off of the ends every 4 months or so. It helps if you braid it at night so it doesn't get so snarled while you sleep. Pick hairstyles that you can do where it doesn't matter if it is wavy or not. In 2000 my hair was shoulder length, it was just under my chin. Now I can just about sit on it. So that should tell you how long it takes. Cutting the ends will get rid of the split one's, plus it does help your hair to grow. Make sure you brush it often too, the more snarls you get in it the more chances of breakage when you do brush it. When it gets fairly long, it is easier to brush it in sections than trying to brush it all at once. After you have brushed it all out and got rid of all of the tangles then you can brush all of it and style it. When your not going out and don't want to have a certain look, braids do help stop it from tangling and getting knots in it. Always use a conditioner too, it will help decrease the tangles and the waves as well.

I read somewhere that Arabs use honey with cinnamon for better hair. Try it. Won't hurt, at least.
