I haven't told my mom yet that i coming home that soon, should i? and also what should i get my mom as a present?

As a former Marine, yes you should let your mother know. We have no idea what mothers go through when their children are deployed. As far as a present, I am sure she would love something from the heart. Something that she will be able to keep forever. How about a letter telling her how much you love her?

I think you should surprise your mom. Call her when you are in the car, about to drive home or something. And tell her then.
If you guys have a tight relationship, you being home--alive--should be a good enough present for her. But if you really want to get her something, i'd say a ring or a necklace. =)

buy her flowers and don't tell anyone. make it a huge suprise but be ready for the tears. Thank you so much for serving we all appericated it here at home. Gods speed.

Get your mom some flowers. And make it a surprise. maybe tell some other family members that you are but dont tell your mom so its a surprise.

I'm sure whatever you get her won't be as good as having her son home. So probably flowers, or make or take her out to dinner, or a place that you guys enjoyed when you were a child.

Maybe you and your mom can go out to dinner, or buy her somthing that she wants and she has never had the time to get it, send her on a cruise, or send her to the spa,

TELL YOUR MOTHER!!!! also, i've been in Iraq, get her some jewlery. my relatives got me a gold heart-shaped ring that i completely adore.
