Well G Girl, you have the Jesus part down great.
Did he mean...nope. That is just part of our human, sinful nature coming out.
Bible is fiction - Hard to believe that and what you write about Jesus at the same time.
Jesus did not address the issue of homosexuality directly, or obesity, or obscenity, or violent media entertainment.
And give us all a break G Girl - "Exact words"? Who could know what they were if we did think we had them?

Which sexual orientation should we accept and reject, there are over five, including the attraction to children?
Should we accept them all or be selective?
The decision to classify the attraction to children, though controversial, came about in the exact same manner it was done for homosexuality.
So, what orientation do we discriminate against and who should be given the power to decide it?
As for it being any worse a sin than any other, one needs to think about Moses.
He was not allowed to enter the Promise Land as a result of just one sin.
The question to ask yourself is the:
Was it the sin that he committed; or
Was it that he thought that one little thing wouldn't count?
Was his sin that he assumed to know what God thought would count and what wouldn't, or possibly that he thought that because of all the good he had done, the scales were balanced in his favor?

People who are homophobic are often so because they don't want to look at what is wrong in their own lives (and I am not saying homosexuality IS wrong, just that those who view it as sin are often using it as a measuring stick to say their own sin isn't as bad). I however, totally agree that Jesus was all about loving people. Never did he directly condemn homosexuality. Know what he did condemn? Divorce and remarriage, something the churches often allow/overlook/even condone. When we get rid of divorce and remarriage, then I will look at the rights/wrongs of homosexuality.

Jesus said that were to love before anything else. this is his greatest teaching. this is number one.we must have love. if a christian hates then there really not a Christian. so why do they go to church , why do they claim to be a Christian when they hate. or they judge another person.I was brought up in a Truly loving Christian family who never said a hate full word about anyone Y'all.get it together people . or your going to NOT make it to heaven when you pass on. you must have love. Jesus said this.you cant just believe there was a Jesus and somehow get a magic ticket to heaven folks. all that call on the name of the Lord will NOT be saved. only those who do my fathers will. will make it to heaven.you people b etter get it together.with all your judging.I was molested my a man when I was seven.but I got over it. and don't hate any longer.you have to forgive people.or you wont get to heaven. The old Jewish stuff they came up with over the millenniums.is what is written about homosexuals.Jesus came and he lived and died. and never put down people. I dont really carte that much about all those old jewisg storys and things they have in the old trestiment. I go with what Jesus said.his teachings. not what some old jewish guy wrote down four 1000 years ago.why should I care about that?I could care less about what meat to eat. when to sacrifice lambs.who begot who.or if they didnt like gay people.they say no men to gether but they dont say a thing about women being with women. so its ok for the women and not the men. personnaly I say it better to be straught, but some people or like that. and I just know in my heart that God loves us all. who love him.Haveing faith in God is very emportant.

You are very decieved..If seems that you are probably a lesbian and fear that the bible is right.. If you truly believed that the bible was fiction, then you wouldn't worry so much about what Jesus said or didn't say..
For example.. Dan Brown's stories. I am not in the least concerned about what he believes or writes and would never read one of his books. I just don't care as I know that they are only fiction and mean nothing..
You on the other hand are saying that the bible is fiction, but are worried about what it says..

What good could it possibly do if you had exact anything from the Bible when you think the Bible is fiction.Actually you are living proof that the bible isn't fiction. Romans 1:24-27 and verse 28 is proof of you.

Jesus never spoke about homosexuality directly. But He never spoke about peeing on people's front porches either. Does that mean it's okay to pee on people's porches?
Scripture already had homosexuality covered -- specifically, that it's not to be engaged in, period.
So, why would Jesus need to restate the obvious?
By the way, the New Testament goes on to back up and reaffirm the Old's condemnation of homosexuality.
So please don't try to rhetorically worm out of it by comparing it to Biblical verses approving of slavery.
That's because Old Testament verses on slavery are superceded by certain New Testament teachings. But OT verses on homosexuality are not superceded by anything in the NT.

Love does not mean that you condone everyone's lifestyle. If you had a family member who was a drug addict, would you support his habit, would you overlook his habit, or would you confront him/her with the truth? If you love them, you will confront their lifestyle and give them the truth - no matter how much it hurt.
I answered one of your earlier questions with Jesus' reference to Sodom and Gommorah, the days of Noah, and the days of Lot, which all were marked by sexual immorality. No, He does not mention homosexuality directly, but He doesn't directly speak of child abuse, or slavery, or stealing, or drug abuse, or snorting lines of cocaine. His not mentioning something directly does not mean his condoning of it.
Also, Jesus was not all about walking on eggshells and making sure that he didn't hurt anyone's feelings. He called the Pharisees and other Jewish leaders vipers, hypocrites, and white-washed tombstones!

you THINK the Bible is fiction, and you are entitled to your own opinion inasmuch as everybody else. for me, being homophobic doesn't make a person less of a human being unless he or she does something to make homosexuals' life miserable. but okay, to answer your question, i think yes. it is some people's prejudice that makes them homophobic.

"Jesus was about love."
What makes you think you know what Jesus was about if you think the bible is fiction? What are you basing your idea of Jesus on if not the bible?
