You don't say how your migraines affect you at work, but migraines can be much more difficult to handle when you're not at home, whether you're at work or somewhere else. Most people need to take your medication and rest when you have a migraine, and that's often not possible at work. Migraines can affect vision, hearing, and concentration along with causing nausea and other symptoms that can make it nearly impossible to work. Talk with your doctor about some of the migraine abortive triptan drugs -- Imitrex, Maxalt, Zomig, Amerge, Axert, Relpax, or Frova. They work to stop the migraine itself and all the symptoms. Good luck!

YES, A migraine can affect you to the point where you need "special" treatment. Migraines can actually be classifed as under the ADA act as a disability. I have suffered from migraines for over 2 years now, I have at least one a week. It makes it hard to go to college and have a job. I do try and use the resourses I have to make my life easier. Most employer have to provide resonable accomadations to employees with disablities. Like in college, I am not restricted to missing only a certain number of days or turning in laste work due to a migraine. Hope that helps.
