Forgot to mention......this is not me! It is my husband's 25 yr old son who has always been rescued from everything by his mother & step-father. Now, a dead man with an extremely grief-ridden family.

Yes, there will be prison time. A few years in prison, plus several years of probation. This happened to someone I know. He got 3 yrs in prison and 4 years probation.

Inevitable? Probably. In my 6 years in law enforcement, I have seen one person who was given felony probation for this exact thing, but like most probationers got revoked and ended up in the Pen because she couldn't stay off the sauce.

Yep you are going to prison. Please slow down a little next time and stop driving so recklessly. Just think of the poor family of the person you killed. They had to go through Christmas without their loved one. See you in 15-20.
