Was Jesus? No!

The accepted answer was 'Yes', for Paul.

New insights into the culture and use of the words he used suggest he may have only been anti 'indiscriminate' sex and a type of paedophila that was common among the Greco-roman upper classes.

As for Jesus - the Fundies always ignore that, while repeatedly denouncing certain things, he never mentioned it once!

No, He just restored demonic possesed persons to their right minds, forgave the woman who had five husbands and told her to go and sin no more. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus' message which Paul echoed was the one He read in the synagogue; "Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luke 4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."
I'm a witness that He still fulfils this scripture that He still frees those bound by sin, guilt, shame, bitterness, anger, and heartaches. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin. You too can have this testimony.

The term homophobic is thrown around so loosely as a derogatory statement towards those who disagree with this lifestyle. I don't agree with adultery - does that make me adulterphobic? I don't agree with liars -does that make me liarphobic?

The Bible is plain in its teachings on the homosexual lifestyle (and it is not just Paul). Jesus makes mention of the sin of Sodom and Gommorah, as well as the days of Noah and Lot (both having prevailing sexual immorality). Jesus' mission was to go to the cross to pay for our sins. He may not mention everything in detail, but His ommission does not mean His condoning.

My you are on an anti=pauline kick tonight. There is nothing in the Bible about Paul being homophobic. He obviously held strong moral positions, but that does equal homophobic.

Paul certainly reads that way. Like a repressed closet gay, sort of like a first century Ted Haggard.

And all those that mention Sodom and Gomorrah reread your bibles. Those places were destroyed because the were greedy, did nothing for the less fortunate in their cities and were likely to attack strangers (inhospitable). Refer to Ezekiel 16

its interesting Kissing a guy with a holy kiss is attributed to coming out of jesus' mouth.
it is also curious that during the last supper Peter or one of the other disciples layed on his lap. some gays tried to convert me to these as proof of homosexulity.

but no one can deny that homosexuality at one time was cause for the death penalty. Even God destroyed Sodom(Y) and Gomorah, as sodomy was one of the greater sins that was called an abomination by God.

Really doubt it...perfect love casts out fear, and Paul had the love of G-d on Him. A phobia is a fear, and the love Paul had with him overpowered that I am just about certian.

He didnt mind calling a frog a frog, if thats what you mean.

Where are you getting these weird theories on Paul? Please come back with evidence to support your claim. They preached God's love which includes everyone, homosexuals included. God loves them too much too keep them that way.

I agree with David, he wasn't afraid to call a frog a frog.
