God's name is revealed in Psalms 83:18 where it says, "That people may know that you whose name is JEHOVAH, You alone are the Most High over all the earth."_NWT Bible. Yahweh or Jehovah as it is rendered in English is God's personal name.

To Moses God introduced Himself as YHWH, or Yahweh, meaning "the eternal one", I AM THAT I AM, who never changes.
The Hebrews are very reluctant to mention that name so they call him Elohim, or El, most of the time. Another name for God is El Shaddai, which is very interestingly very close the name used by the Chinese to call God, the Supreme Ruler of Heaven:
Sheungdai, according to the Cantonese, and Shangdi to the Mandarin or Han people. The Moslem call Him Allah, which is very close to Eloh, or Eloi.

Here is an interesting statement by the most venerated Chinese sage, Laozi:

Something mysteriously already made, Existing (living) before heaven and earth in the silence and the void, Standing alone and unchanging, Ever present in constant (cyclic) motion. Perhaps He is the source of myriads of things, I do not know His name. Call Him Dao, For lack of a better word,

The word "Dao" or "Tao" in Chinese means "Word/Way/Teaching/Truth"
It is interesting that in John 1:1-3, Jesus was called the "Way",
and He declared that He is the Way , The Truthj and The LIfe.
Now look at the text in the Quran(Koran) which says that Jesus the Son of Mary is the "Word of God" or Kalimatullah:

JEHOVAH OR YAHWEH.

These are both equally correct. However, in North America, Jehovah is the "usually" used one. Yahweh is used by more ethnic communities and faiths.

His name is mentioned 4 times in the KJV Bible at Ex. 6:3, Ps. 83:18, Is. 12:2 and Is. 26:4! The funny part is, it was originally mentioned over 6,000 times in the Hebrew Bible that good gay King James had it translated from, yet it survived only 4 places, lol.

The word "Allah" is simply the Arabic word for Almighty God, and is the same word used by Arabic speaking Christians and Jews. If one were to pick up an Arabic translation of the Bible, one would see the word "Allah" being use where the word "God" is used in English. Actually, the Arabic word for Almighty God, "Allah", is quite similiar to the word for God in other Semitic languages — for example, the Hebrew word for God is "Elah". For various reasons, some non-Muslims mistakenly believe that Muslims worship a different God than Jews and Christians. This is certainly not the case, since the Pure Monotheism of Islam calls all people to the worship of the God of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and all of the other prophets. However, even though Jews, Christians and Muslims worship the same God — since there is only one God — their concepts concerning Him differ in some significant ways.

Muslims believe in GOD(in arabic Allah), the Supreme and Eternal, Infinite and Mighty, Merciful and Compassionate, The Creator and The Provider, He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none equal or comparable unto Him.
