I know this because he likes to put it in my face while I'm watching tv or in bed. It always smells, is this because he isn't cleaning it? or does he just like to come say hi to me after using the litter box?

He is 8lbs, 8months old, very friendly, and he and his brother wash eachother a lot. He is not fixed yet. They are both indoor cats too.

You answered your own ?. He is still "intact" which means his male hormones are working and he will continue to "smell" because his scent glands are now "operating" naturally. He needs to be taken to the vet and neutered, NOW. A non-neutered male cat will have many fights and suffer many wounds, he will have many encounters with females and probably end up contracting feline "aids", he may be killed by another unaltered male, he may roam continually and not return home, and, yes, he will smell very badly because he is advertising his availability. If you are able to keep him indoors and choose not to have him neutered be prepared for him to start "marking" his territory. That means he will be urinating/spraying all over the house and rubbing his smelly butt all over the furniture. He is looking for a female in heat and not interested in anything else.

1) Yes, cats often like to come see you after they have used the litter. I have no idea why.

2) Butts smell. It's just that you have the unusual privilege of getting up close and personal with your kitties butt.

3) Watch him and see if he is cleaning back there. Some cats don't like to do it. I mean... would you want to?

try delicate or organic wipes made for little ones. Get them at a health nutrition shop and also you recognize that's going to likely be secure if the cat ingests somewhat bit at the same time as she licks herself. If the smell extremely persists, you may favor to work out a vet- the cat would have a bowel inflammation or nutrition hypersensitivity.

Eww... yikes! Well, no doubt cat ... uh, poop smells, and thats where it has to come from. You could try a bath, even a dry bath would be better than nothing.
Or else, keep your face out of your kitties backside.

Thats nothing get a wet wipe and wipe him down, last night my cat had a piece of string hanging out of his butt because he likes to eat string but it came out.

I wipe my cats' butts with "wet ones" or kitty wipes or even just moistened toilet paper after they poop. That helps keep their butts clean and not smelly.
