Take 2 photographs of yourself, your PAN card,
an addredss proof like telephone or electricity bill, or driving license etc
and an introducer whose a/c is at least 1 year old.........

and no bank can deny openeing a saving account during 'public transaction hours'.

If they do, you are free to lodge a complaint. But before that talk to the Manager of the branch.

In the first place you're interested only in a nationalised bank. Go to any branch of Citi Bank they will be more than happy to open an account for you. The services provided by Citi Bank are really good.

Dear Friend,

Public Sector Banks are always like that. Try to visit all the Public sector Banks of your area. Observe their service and then select the Banks. Ultimately Customer is the King atleast in the eye of Customer..So make your decision and go Ahead.

Please don't go by name of the Bank. Since all banks are same. Just go by the service provided by the Branch & Staff.

Just report to OMBUDSMAN. The person, appointed by RBI, is responsible to deal with this type complaint. You will get your problem solved very quickly. Try it.
