According to Imam Nawawi and Zarqaani, this took place on 27
th Rajab, 17 months before Hijrah

The Prophet was born 569CE and some sources said 570CE

MuHarram 1, 1 A.H. corresponds to July 16, 622 C.E

So back tracking 17 months means, 1 year and 5 months, so that means 621CE, February

621 - 569 = 52 years of age

620 was the first recording time of Muhammad saying he had experinced the Isra and Mihraj. Being born in 570 it would have place Muhammad about 50 at the time. But it could have happened prior he received his first revelation in 610 when he was 40 so we know that it was sometime between 40 and 50.

619 was referred to as the year of sorrow because of family deaths and night journey is thought to be more then likely after that suffering. Placing it most likely in late 619 or early 620 so it is probably safe to say 49 or 50.

It couldn't be 621 because it had already been spoken about in teachings from 620.
