This is on the knuckle of my middle finger. I first thought maybe I'd burned myself (and didn't know it), but it's lasted too long for that. It looks like a blister, but it's kind of hard instead of fluid filled. It gets sore from time to time, and I can't squeeze anything out. It hasn't grown or gotten worse, it just hasn't gotten better.

I'm age 47.

If their is no fluid forming under the skin, you might have a ganglion. Most times a subcutaneous blister is just a build up of fluid, but because you present with localized pain, It could be joint involvement. See your Dr. He can have an X-Ray taken to rule out any type of fracture. It might be something as simple as localize fibrous tissue and a simple excise of the lump could solve your problem,

well, i hate to say it, but you could possibly go to your doctor and have him or her check it out. i could go away but i'd still have a doctor check it out.
