IMO Reform Judaism is more relaxed than Orthodox and Conservative practices. On a very basic level all belive the same and read the same torah and tanakh, but in reform Judaism the rules and practices are not so tightly followed (ie dietary laws and women in the rabbinic programs) Reform Judaism gives more equality to women and is over all a more warm and inviting atmosphere all around

Reform believes Judaism is important as a heritage and the books of Judaism are literature, but that ideas about whether G-d exists, the origins of the universe, and what is expected of people have to be figured out for oneself. I can't really figure out why Reform exists. It is basically ethno-centric agnosticism.

Orthodox Judaism believes that G-d as presented by the classical Jewish holybooks is real and the Torah was given to Moses at Mt. SInai, and that those who obey it will recieve literal reward in the next life, and those that don't will be punished.

COnservatives are somewhere inbetween, but I have no idea what that means. In reality it ends up that Conservative Jews are reform Jews who found more Jewish customs entertaining or meaningful enough to keep doing them for one more generation.

Reform Jews believe you can eat a bacon double cheeseburger and it is not a sin. Hardly any of them keep any kind of kosher.

Reform Jews do most of their services in whatever their native language is with just a few of the more important prayers in Hebrew. (And rather than reading Hebrew, most of them rely on English transliterations of Hebrew)

Reform Jews often have their main services on Friday night and nothing on Saturday morning. (Thus their kids Saturday morning soccer games are not interrupted by services. This makes the Reform movement very popular with families with potential soccer stars.)

Reform Jews believe in patrilineal descent to be a Jew, rather than just matrilineal like all the other Jews do. (This drives them further and further away from the other Jewish movements that stick with the traditional view.)

Reform Jewish Rabbis perform a lot of intermarriages which is why the movement has a lot of mixed marriages. (Jews + a goy.)

Reform Jews openly accept gay rabbis and even have gay congregations.

Reform Jews tend to be more Liberal than the other movements.

Reform Jewish congregations sometimes try to make G-d gender neutral, and therefore refer to G-d as the RULER of the UNIVERSE instead of the KING of the UNIVERSE.

Reform Jews tend to more lax on conversion requirements so when a person converts under the Reform movement, the conversion is not usually accepted by the other movements.

Reform Judaism is sometimes jokingly called "Judaism Lite."

Reform Jews practice the basic tenets of Judaism, but they have abandoned some of old traditions and observances, and worship in a more modern and up-to-date manner. They are much more liberal and accept interfaith marriage and ecumenical participation in religious services. They are not as strict about dietary requirements, and have shorter worship services than in the Conservative or Orthodox synagogues.

answer: stupid is spot on. some examples of variations will be: kosher - Reform Jews make certain in my view how they're going to save kosher, if in any respect (many do). Conservative Jews save kosher/kashrut. Reform Judaism is punctiliously accepting of gay/lesbian members, Conservative is accepting yet not encouraging. maximum Reform Jewish adult males positioned on the kippah for the period of prayer and at synagogue yet not all, Conservative Jewish adult males do. Reform Jewish women can positioned on the kippah for the period of prayer and at synagogue, maximum do not. Few Conservative Jewish women human beings positioned on the kippah.

The people you think are Jews, are not. The scriptures tells you this.

Deu 30:3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
