GED will work for the Army, only the Air Force and Navy require an actual High School Diploma.

No, you can join the Army with a G.E.D. although throughout your Army career, having a high school diploma will offer you more choices and open more doors. If you are only looking to serve a couple of years, it won't really matter. However, I would suggest to you that earning your diploma should be your number one priority at this point. The Army will always be available.

I am a veteran and my husband is a pilot in the army and yes you need a diploma or GED. The recruiter will ask for it.
If you don't graduate, do what I did, I went to an adult college to get my hs diploma. I didn't graduate from my high school. Just took 3 classes and they gave me my diploma. You'll need it to pursue a good career in any field.

yes or a GED. But talk to a recruiter. There was an atrical in the stars and stripes (military newspaper) a few months ago where they were talking about a program that found "acceptable recruits" that didn't have a diploma.
