My dad has cancer, and now he has developed pnuemonia. Is that part of the cancer cycle, in other words, will he develop other sickness because of his cancer?

no its not part of the cycle ,when you are taking chemo it can reduce your immunity down very low , but the docs always do blood tests before giving chemo , so you should know the levels, when the platlets get to low you can easily get infections , or even sometimes have to have blood transfusions , they will not give chemo depending on the blood levels. if his levels are low then he shouldnt be exposed to anyone sick , mostly he needs to wear a face mask to protect himself against others illnesses. good luck and god bless , email me anytime to talk , vent , whatever ......

Hi Dude, if your dad is on chemo then it reduces the immunity and so the person develops other diseases. Medical science has not developed completely to tackle this disease, but ethically it cannot give up either. Keep your Dad away from any kind of pollution that will be the best strategy. Keep him happy to live the most life out of every moment! God bless you and your dad!

I'm sure that can happen with lung cancer. It might also happen if the cancer is in his lymphatic system.

Make sure to spend some time with him and don't avoid talking aout any subject.
