I want to know if my friend is right by dating this guy. I love them both and don't want to see either get hurt. Is she doing the right thing? and what does the law say specifically about this issue

As long as they don't have sex until she's 17, it's legal.
And that isn't a very big age difference...I'm sure they're fine, and if they aren't, they'll find out soon enough. You shouldn't make it your business, though, let them work it out themselves.

This is fine. The law only says you cant have sex with someone that is 3 yrs or older than you if you arent of legal age. The legal age in Oklahoma is 16. I think she is doing the right thing by dating him.

I was 15 and dated an 18 year old. We were together 3 years and thinking of getting engaged until he was killed.

um..i think she needs to wait because the law states that they have to be 17 and 18 to be able to date each other but i mean no one will think down on it and i dont think it will be a big deal. As long as they are in the same grade level then they are fine.

I can see no problem with this. Age should not be questioned unless carnal knowledge is the problem. What is the age of consent in your state/country. In Australia it is 16. Let your friend be.

Yeah, I should think it's fine. I think getting pulled over the police for "dating" is as likely as being arrested for "jaywalking", at least with "jaywalking" it's proveable. As long as it doesn't go all the way (yet), they should be fine.
