Yes. & you got some great answers. Dave is so totally wrong, however, Jesus never said anything about "eat me drink me." The "wafer" & the "wine" are symbolic rituals. I'm trying to get a DVD of the "After Jesus, the First Christians" that was shown on C-Span THREE times. Beautifully done, very, very insightful. & I'm an Atheist. Yet, the history is incredible, & since I saw it only once, I couldn't possible absorb all of it. Your good answers will say more than I need to say.

Jesus was raised as a Jew and lead His life that way, according to the Levitical Law.
Born, then circumcized on the 8th day, annual visits to Jerusalem during Passover. Jesus is the quint-essential Jew:
His is Messiah, fulfilling the whole Law.

Yes Jesus was a practicing Jew! The Bible says that He went to the Temple and it also says that Jesus observed all of the Jewish feast days!

The Law was given partly to distinguish the Messiah from all others (only part of reason--the other was to provide moral basis). Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of the Law.

He sure did, his entire life. Late in his life, the Bible said, "And Jesus went to the temple 1 hour per week, as was his custom"
That kinda says something about these Baptist Churches that rather insistantly require their members to go to church 3 and 4 hours per week plus Choir Practice plus visitations plus any other excuse to make the church a social club.

He kept all the true laws of God, not all the traditional laws imposed by the Jewish priests. For instance the Jewish priests taught that you cant do anything on the Sabbath really because God told us not to "work" on that day, but Jesus taught that it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath, even if it involves work (i.e. helping someone)

Of course he did. He followed the law of the land and the accepted religion in his youth. Later, as he gathered his
followers his practices changed to embrace what he was
teaching them.
