Looks like a purebred German Shepherd. The ears usually droop on German Shepherd puppies, and stay erect as they grow older.A very nice specimen indeed!
Ih theres any other breed in him(which I doubt) then it sure dont show. The coatstructure is correct, the coloring is too,and the markings. You are very fortunate to have been given a nice puppy like that...train him well, love him dearly, and you will have a companion and a guardian for many, many years to come!

Looks like a German Shepard. What a cutie. Please take care of him and don't throw him away like happens with so many "gift" dogs. Make sure he sleeps in the house and has a happy life.
Edit: I don't see any Lab in him. Just because of the drop ear, I bet it's probably just a stage and will stand up again.

Adorable! Yeah, German Shepherd is my vote too. Doesn't look like he'll get to be really big though. Please do some google searching and read up on housebreaking, manners training, etc. so that your new baby will be a nice companion for years to come. :)

my vote is a German Shepherd too. Our friends have one, and his ear was also 'floppy' when he was a puppy! It should stand up by the age of one. :o)
He's SO cute!
