A co-worker persued me at our Christmas party. After 2 weeks of intense dating and him insisting he met the perfect woman, was amazed at how well we fit together & speaking of future plans, he just stopped calling and returning calls. I have to face him every day at work. He will not explain his sudden change of heart.

please, please, please educate yourself about 'who' men are - read 'wild at heart,' so you will understand what makes a man tick. they love the chase, the hunt and once you give in, sleep w/them or fall to quick, the chase is over and they really didn't want you, the chase wasn't long enough or satisfying or maybe you're not the 'one.' Girls - stop falling all over these men and start playing hard to get, give them a run for their money - get smart! c'mon - you make us look bad!!! Don't you think you're worth it??? Think! Happy New Year!

Too much, too soon. Perhaps he met someone else. Maybe he suddenly lost interest. Maybe his dog died. It could be anything. You need to stop speculating why he did this (it happens), and the ball's in his court. If he comes back at some point and you're still interested you need to approach with caution and discuss WHY he suddenly did this. This makes me so mad... I hate it when guys do this... honesty is so much nicer and classier. This sucks but I think you're best to just move on and try to keep the work relationship as professional as possible. Not all guys do this... you'll find someone better soon hopefully.

Some men can be real intense in the beginning, telling you all the things you want to hear. Sadly, this is often just a calculated ploy to woo you into the bedroom. This could be the scenario here. I wish I could give you a brighter answer than this.

Two weeks of intensive dating do not always make a lasting relationship. Maybe he got what he wanted. Maybe he thinks you are too good for him. Maybe he got scared. Its difficult to tell. Pressuring him for answers isn't working so at this point all you can do is move on, and at work be as professional as possible.

A lot of men get cold feet and they really aren't ready to settle down. They see their friends going out and partying. They are afraid that they won't be able to go out anymore. And some guys are ready for a steady relationship until they get about 25-30 sometimes older. It really depends on the man.

Seems to me he just wanted sex and said what you wanted to hear to get it. Guys work differently than women. If they are like that and want to talk about it, then it is usually a line. If a guy loves you it will take longer for that to come out.

Next time play a little hard to get. And quit calling. You would not like the way it looks.

I agree, he is an idiot, but also, he could have been after the "thrill of the chase". Often, once a man has a woman fall for him, the challenge is over, and he wants to move on.

WOW...thanks for putting it in a question... I was wondering the same thing. I pretty much had that happen to me. Maybe it was his wrong kind of love for me and the wrong reason for him to like you... Chances are, it was that coworker liking coworker syndrome...lol...
