Last summer I traveled to Cabo San Lucas and rediscovered Mexico! Wow! what a beautiful country! Wonderful town! Great food! Good service! High class condos? The Mexicans know how to build! They build to American standards. They are really talented! Many wonderful supermarkets! Home Depot, too! Fantastic malls with incredible architecture! Delicious food! Tons of people who speak English. Many college grads!
New construction everywhere!
That country is cooking!
Who would want to leave it!
They have all that petroleum, too!
Money comes to many people living there from tourism, business, manufacturing and international commerce.
Hey, all you illegals, there are millions of jobs waiting for you back home! You'll love it!
Can you go home now?

Mexico is one of the richest country in Latin America; however, it run a corrupt government. Only the privilege few in the upper class are living in comfort. Mexico is a racist country. Mexican government does not help the poor, so the poor have no place to go except heading to a greener pasture in the US. The poor are encouraged to go to the US.

Er...you need to get out more. Mexico, like any and every country on earth, has more than one side. You are seriously deluding yourself if you believe that what YOU saw was an accurate representation of Mexico as a whole. Mexico is deemed a "developing country".
Get out and travel. It's the best education there is.

Not. they don't' live in that. Rich tourists do. If you want to see what they're running from, visit the slums of Mexico City. Very different world there. the thickest Smog you've ever seen. packed streets. poor homes with no running water and no electricity. people too poor to afford clothes. people too poor to afford food.
if you want a good idea of what it's like in Mexico, don't go to the resorts. would you judge all of American by how people live in kennebunk port? thought not.

Oh, but then they would have to PAY for food, medical care, housing and education. No, your tactic won't work. It's not a good enough deal for them. They'd rather come here, illegally, and suck up $billion$ in taxpaid services than work for them in Mexico. Then they can go home for visits, put their money into Mexico's economy and return to the USA for more freebies and money to take back next time. Good try though.

It's so gosh-darn wonderful that everyone wants to leave. You can't judge the country by the areas made for tourists. Those are built and managed by more competent foreigners. The rest of the country is an arid hellhole.

only if you happen to be rich. but most of the population lives on a dollar a day.. i wouldn't call that rich. you can't just make judgements when you only saw one part of the country.
