I am 20 lack real job experience, no H.S diploma ...what to you recommend i do?

i droped out of high school when i was 17 because of my friend...well at least i thought he was....he found out i was gay and ended up making up all these stories...that i would hit on him or i would try and touch him and so on....but it just got to a point where i just couldt handle it so i dropped out ....now live with parents, no job , low selfesteem / lack self confidence, and am constantly thinking about what other people are saying or think of me ....I'm just a mess...i need help........ I cant live with parents forever. Need to gain some kind of financial stability.....i need help....what do i do.......I'm scared........: (

I say work as a construction worker you need no experience and you will make 10 dollars an hour. Or get some other job without a demanding schedule. During that time go to night school the get your diploma and then sign up for a community college. Community college classes cost 25 dollars a unit so that shouldn't be too much for anyone. Then try to transfer into a 4 year college and you know the rest: get a major get your master's degree and live your life.

And forget what other ppl say. It should matter what you think not what others think. I mean ppl made fun of me because of the shape of my nose and guess what I didn't pay attention to it and now I've been accepted into a great college while the ppl who made fun of me are repeating the ninth grade for a third time.
So just forget what everyone says leave them and focus on your life.

One good step would be to prepare for and take you GED test. Then dependent on your parents possibly going to a community college and taking courses which will help you find a good job would be the next best step. However you mention you lack any real job experience, what have you been doing the last 3 years? If you have not been working then that would suggest you are a bit lazy (sorry). But you are at least now stepping up to the plate.

So try to figure out some attainable goal as far as future jobs and try to gain some experience in that field by getting an entry level position which will help you reach that goal. But going to school and really giving it your all would be a great start.

First you need to work on getting your GED. You can schedule it in no time and it should be easy for you. The GED will make it easier to find a job.
Second you might try for a an unskilled labor job or unskilled clerical job such as mail room or messenger. You may be able to find a low level government job. One way to gain experience is to do temp or contract work.
Third you really need to go and get some counseling. You should be able to get it for little or no money. It sounds like you are very depressed which would explain your inability to do anything for the last few years. A good counselor will help you look into your problems and get back on track.
You can do it just hurry up with the GED because it will make things so much easier.

Second, go find a job in the newspaper or through friend of family.

join the arm force.

GET YOUR GED ONLINE-I SUGGEST YOU EITHER GET INTO THE AIRFORCE/NAVY OR GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. GET INTO A JOB THAT'S A TRADE EXAMPLES; ELECTRICIAN,PLUMBER,HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING,WELDER SOMETHING THAT'S GOING TO HAVE YOU ROLLING IN DOUGH AND THAT'S NOT SO AVAILABLE SUCH AS WORKING IN A HAIR SALON WOULD BE PLACED IN THAT CATEGORY. THERE'S ONE ON EVERY OTHER BLOCK AT LEAST WHERE I LIVE AT I'M JUST GIVING YOU THE JUST OF IT ALL. YOUR STILL YOUNG ENOUGH TO PULL THIS OFF SO THE FASTER YOU ACCOMPLISH IT THE BETTER YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.

Call your local community college or area education agency and get info on getting your GED..

Until then you can work contruction or flip burgers, or some type of manual labor. You can do this while you work on your GED.

Military!!! It will teach you discipline and independence. You will be bound to a strict schedule with a heavy work load. However, the benefits far exceeds the costs if you take advantage of them.
