My anwser to her was the opposite of hate or pain which I have'nt given her (yet), she laughed and said she might as well date a dictionary.

I beleive there are different forms of love, obviously the type of affection you feel for your child, wouldnt be the same type of affection you feel for a gf/wife. The problem with answering this question is that its very openended. I beleive that love is an everlasting bond shared between two individuals that will do anything for eachother. They will support eachother through the hard times and be able to share in the happiness of the good times. Not sure if this'll help ya, but I guess I tried. Hope things work out between you and your gf ^_^

Not sure how old you and your girlfriend are. Sounds like she was giving you a bait test. She was being critical yet vocal of how she feels she is being treated in the relationship. It very much sounds like she wants more out of a relationship. Notice how I said A relationship not necessarily the one you and her have. If you feel like you have bent over backwards in this relationship just to please her, then thats too much work. If she is still being critical. Then thats your red flag for her, telling you that she is expecting more then you can give to suit HER at the time. It does not in any means, mean that the way you are, won't suit another partner in the future. Love comes easy when the person is easy to love. Love comes easy when the person is not only your lover but your best friend. Love comes easy when its not alot of thinking of how to please the other you just automatically know. You may mess up from time to time. But, the person who loves you will understand that your just human to.

There are different types of love like you said. However, you definitely gave her the wrong answer. The romantic love you have for her is not just a matter of not hating her!

I would have slapped you if you had said that to me. Come on, man! You can tell her why you love her! DO you?!!

There are different types of love. You love your mom or dad very much but (well hopefully) wouldnt want to be intimate with them. Love of any kind though makes you feel high, you think about the person alot...even before yourself. You think about how they would feel about your actions and act with them in mind...

Love is warm, and fuzzy, it's being worried when think something is wrong...the worried as in the pit of your stomache is a rock type worried.

When you look at that person, sometimes you just see forever there...today, tommorow and forever..Not all the time..just now and again.

You are bound to get a million different ansewrs to this question and they can all be right. I think just as we all see ourselves as unique and different there is no reason why any connection between 2 people should be like any other. In other words, every love is different. Clearly you are not in synch with her views on love, but it is something you both need to figure out together.

good luck!

Love is a multitude of things...sharing, giving taking, compassion empathy faithfulness, loyalty, trust unconditional...I can go on and on....You know love when it smacks you on the back of the head and says hey here I am and you better jump on it like your feet were on fire...its the best roller coaster ride you will ever get on! It is also the worst pain you will ever feel...you will never appreciate the love without the pain....embrace it when it comes!

Love is respect and intense feelings for someone. It is unconditional. No matter what they do the feeling of love will always be there. It is a calming feeling, like you are at ease with this person. It is a warm feeling, kinda dreamy. You respect them for who they are and what they do. You would do anything for this person, including risking your life for theirs. You would put them before yourself. It is a wonderful feeling. Been in love and married for 16 years.
